| Bret R. Rossi is a Certified Specialist, Bankruptcy Law, State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. We are a debt relief agency. We help people file for bankruptcy relief under the Bankruptcy Code. He also focuses his practice on business dispute resolutions and commercial collections. He represents both debtors and creditors in business and personal bankruptcies (Chapters 7, 11 and 13), and assists clients in commercial collection matters. Mr. Rossi also represents businesses and individuals with disputes related to a wide range of matters including contracts, partnerships, corporate agreements, real estate and construction matters through negotiation, mediation, arbitration and litigation in both State and Federal Courts. |

Mr. Rossi has practiced law in Sacramento since 1984, with a clientele ranging from
individuals, sole proprietorships and partnerships to privately held and public
corporations located throughout California, Oregon and Wisconsin. Some of his
clients include Kohler Company, Hyster Sales Company, GCR Truck Tire Center
and the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation, as well a number of individuals
and small business.
An experienced trial attorney, Mr. Rossi has served as lead trial attorney in numerous trials. He has significant expertise in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) techniques such as negotiation, mediation, arbitration and pre-trial settlements. More than 98 percent of his cases are successfully resolved without resorting to trial. In addition to conducting his legal practice, Mr. Rossi serves as an arbitrator on the Sacramento County Bar Association's Fee Arbitration Panel. He is also the Chairman of the Sacramento County Building Board of Appeals and has served on the Sacramento County Bar Association's Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee. Prior to opening the Law Offices of Bret R. Rossi, Mr. Rossi practiced law with the Sacramento law firm of Weintraub, Genshlea, Hardy, Eric & Brown, concentrating in business litigation. He also practiced with Hefner, Stark & Marois and the Law Offices of John D. Bessey, where he handled business litigation, commercial collections and bankruptcy matters. Mr. Rossi earned his law degree with distinction from the McGeorge School of Law in 1984. While in law school, he was a member of various honorary societies including Order of Coif and The Traynor Society. From 1983 to 1984, he was the Amicus Lex Scholar performing extensive research on the issue of tortious contract breaches. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1981 from the University of California, Berkeley. Mr. Rossi is a member of the State Bar of California's Litigation Section, the American Bankruptcy Institue, and Sacramento County Bar Association's Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Section and Sacramento Lawyers Computer Users Group. He is also a member of Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity. Mr. Rossi was born in Stockton, California and presently lives and works in Downtown Sacramento. He is an avid mountain bike rider, wake and snow boarder, water and snow skier and enjoys many other recreational activities with his children and friends. |
